An Orphan Member
Your first question may be . . . “Am I really an orphan?”
Many of us asked this when we first met AWON . . . and the answer is YES. Contrary to what may be popular belief, we are orphaned by losing just one parent. The term doesn’t apply only to those who have lost BOTH parents. So yes, if you lost your Father (or Mother) in WWII, you are in fact an orphan – even if your other parent is still living.
If you lost your Father (or Mother) in World War II, you qualify as an Orphan Member.
