The truth is, Volunteering is a must.

Many organizations are made up of those who simply USE the services involved . . . provided by a very few who actually supply them.

In AWON, we just aren’t built that way. For $25 a year . . . we need to enlist the help of EVERYone to seek out ways to help and serve each other. So most committed members need to find jobs here . . . using our varied skillsets ~ in planning, administration, and correspondence to find ways to help the Membership. Not every day, perhaps, but enough so that the quality of our Membership experience comes as much from what we do for each other ~ as what a very few can manage to do for the Membership in general. It’s not a burden . . . as much as a mindset . . . you’ll see. When everyone pitches in (to advance Membership or The Star or the Website or the ListServer or the Database or the Bookstore or our Conferences (or any of our new initiatives) . . . the load is so much lighter . . . and much more fun ~ for all!
